I learned this morning that Jayshree Ullal has decided to leave Cisco to pursue other opportunities. Given that I find myself often working with the folks at Cisco on strategic technology initiatives, it makes me sad to see Jayshree move on.
On several occasions I had the pleasure of working with Jayshree on forward looking technologies under development as well as Cisco’s data center-specific technologies. In my opinion, she is a giant among technologists and an amazingly visionary thinker.
‘All the best, Jayshree, in your future endeavors. Your next “gig” will be blessed with a truly great mind.

Thanks for the kind words of praise and appreciation. I will miss Cisco, its part of my DNA and working with you all too very much. The internet is a small world and hope to stay connected.
While many like to gossip and speculate incorrectly on why I am leaving Cisco, 15 years in one company is actually multiple lifetimes in the Silicon Valley and atleast all the people who know me well understand it was time for change
